FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I can't attend everyday of the league / I'll be late for some days; can I still register?
Whether you will be at every game, or can only make it to the first 2 days, we will not turn down anyone from playing. Keep in mind that there are no discounted rates (registration is still $25). But if you want to play, we want you there.
Are there ANY exceptions for girls to play?
Although we would love to create a highly competitive, completely fair co-ed league, we don't have the means and know-how to do it just yet.
What do I need to bring for the league?
On arrival you must have your signed liability form, which will ultimately make you eligible to play. Each player should bring one black and white shirt, as well. Oh, and bring ballin' shoes - no wingtips allowed here.
What can't I bring to the league?
No outside food is allowed in the gym by request of the rec center. In addition, we request there be no alcohol, smoking, or other illegal substances brought to the premises. Any players/visitors caught with these items will be asked to leave by the SL Staff.
Who's the ref for my games?
There will be referees provided outside of the participants of the league, which should help keep rules consistent throughout nd ensure fairness.
I scored 6 points in my last game, but the stats show 2...what's up with that?
Although we try to be as accurate as possible, we do not have professional scorekeepers. Are stats are not 100% correct, and so some statistics will be off. Again, the stats are purely for entertainment purposes, so it shouldn't pose a problem in your game. (Get to know your statkeepers really well so that can easily recognize you and give you more accurate statistics!)
Our records are tied, so how does playoff seeding work?
If two teams end the season with the same record, then the tie-breaker is determined by the head-to-head matchup. If the head-to-head matchup is tied (1-1), the next criteria will be the team with the greatest positive point differential throughout all their games.
